Title: Gaussian logarithmically correlated fields and their extremes.

Abstract
I will introduce a class of Gaussian processes indexed by a lattice, that exhibit long range (logarithmically decaying) correlations. I will explain the relation of such fields to hierarchical models, and properties of the extremes of the field. I will further explain how these generate a limiting random distribution on Euclidean space, and discuss associated objects like the Gaussian multiplicative chaos and various statistical mechanical models associated with these.
