Stability of Couette Flows in a Finite Channel
Abstract
In this talk, I will survey recent progress on the hydrodynamic stability of Couette flow in a finite periodic channel under various boundary conditions. Inviscid damping and enhanced dissipation provide the main stabilizing mechanisms, while the physical boundaries introduce delicate analytical challenges.
